Guides - each pack includes 100 cards. Each card is 9" x 7.75" - perfect size for displaying on a refrigerator. Full color on both sides. Available in English and Spanish.
Nutrition guide for infants (6 to 12 months), based on the American Academy of Pediatrics and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics recommendations. Use this card to promote healthy eating habits - starting solid foods at 6 months of age; learning to eat 4 different textures of food; weaning from the bottle by 12 to 14 months of age; and encouraging your baby to learn how to to feed himself with his fingers, spoon and a cup.
This guide also answers some of parents' common questions - how much food to offer, how to create feeding routines starting with 1 meal when an infant is 6 months old, and gradually increasing to 3 meals when an infant is 7 to 8 months old; and 3 meals and a couple small snacks when 8 to 12 months old. A variety of foods from the five food groups is encouraged - offer 2 to 4 different foods at a meal and 1 to 2 different foods at a snack.
