Cheryl Yarrington MS, RDN, CD, CLE

Founder/Owner, Public Health Nutritionist and Author

Cheryl’s Master of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and clinical experience working in the WIC Program for more than 30 years built the foundation of Nutrition Matters. Cheryl has been writing nutrition education materials for over 25 years, including 11 small books for families with infants and preschool children. She finds joy in creating easy-to-read materials with helpful hints and practical ideas that promote a
healthy lifestyle.

She loves spending time with her grandchildren and family. Her favorite hobbies include gardening, watching her grandchildren play in the dirt with shovels and trucks, picking blueberries and tomatoes, and checking plants to see how much they grow! When she’s not in the garden or the office, you’ll find her in the kitchen, creating delicious recipes that can be found in Nutrition Matters print and digital education.
