About Us

Welcome to Nutrition Matters, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist owned business providing educational materials for children, infants, pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Our education materials are written by Registered Dietitian Nutritionists with more than 30 years experience working with families in the WIC and Head Start Programs. Nutrition Cards, tear sheets, books, posters, and magnets incorporate concepts from 2015-2020 US Dietary Guidelines, ChooseMyPlate, WIC Program, USDA Food and Nutrition Service, American Academy of Pediatrics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Nutrition Matters is your source for easy to read nutrition education materials packed with helpful ideas and guidelines. Provide person centered education with our education materials – use our nutrition education cards for quick counseling sessions, or provide our booklets and tear sheets to clients who ask for more ideas, recipes and suggestions. Individualize education for clients by providing examples of achievable goals along with a variety of meal and snack ideas, mealtime parenting and physical activity ideas.

Our nutrition education materials have been used in WIC Programs, Head Start Programs, Day Care Centers, Elementary Schools, Cooperative Extension Programs and Community Action Agencies throughout the United States.

The readability level of our nutrition education cards, newsletters and booklets is between fourth to sixth grade (Flesch-Kincaid) or fifth to eighth grade (SMOG).

Nutrition Matters Inc. is the sole source of our nutrition education materials.
