Cheryl Yarrington MS, RDN, CD, CLE
Founder/Owner, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Author
Cheryl’s Master of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and clinical experience working in the WIC Program for more than 30 years built the foundation of Nutrition Matters. Cheryl has been writing nutrition education materials for over 25 years, including 11 small books for families with infants and preschool children. She finds joy in creating easy-to-read materials with helpful hints and practical ideas that promote a
healthy lifestyle.
She loves spending time with her grandchildren and family. Her favorite hobbies include gardening, watching her grandchildren play in the dirt with shovels and trucks, picking blueberries and tomatoes, and checking plants to see how much they grow! When she’s not in the garden or the office, you’ll find her in the kitchen, creating delicious recipes that can be found in Nutrition Matters print and digital education.

Susan Krahn MS, RDN, CD, CLC
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Author and ONE Product Expert
Susan strives to bring a WIC clinician’s perspective to her work at Nutrition Matters. She brings a Masters of Science degree in Food and Nutritional Sciences and over 10 years of experience at a local health department to the team. Susan loves having the opportunity to write and create nutrition education that will support public health nutrition programs and inspire parents to raise healthy families.
When she’s not working, you’ll find Susan and her family outdoors in the woods or by a lake during all of the seasons that northwestern Wisconsin brings. They love snowshoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing and hiking. Susan enjoys making healthy, fun and delicious food for her two active children!

Angela Roltgen MPH, RDN, CD, CLS
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Author
Angela’s passion for maternal, infant and child nutrition aligns seamlessly with her work at Nutrition Matters. Her Masters of Public Health degree in Nutrition and 14 years at local WIC agencies brings a focus on community nutrition and evidenced-based nutrition strategies. She loves the opportunities to support professionals and families achieve their health and well-being goals.
She spends most of her free time with her family, supporting her four children with school and sporting activities. They love to play tennis, basketball, soccer, dance and baseball. It's a fun challenge packing healthy snacks on the go. You’ll likely find her by a campfire when they have a free weekend.

Robin Fedie RDN
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Author
Robin is an RDN with over 40 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings, including WIC clinics, hospitals and as a consultant. Robin sees the potential that nutrition has to improve people’s lives, especially when the education she writes can help families make healthy choices. She finds it rewarding to work with the Nutrition Matters team to provide nutrition education that helps families meet the challenge of incorporating healthy eating into their busy lives.
For Robin, family time is the best time. In the winter, she is often at a hockey rink cheering for her grandchildren. Family summer activities include swimming and camping with family.

Tracy Pettis
Sales and Marketing Manager
Tracy loves to bake, and especially likes to share her homemade pretzel bites and chocolate chip cookies with the office. She and her husband Ben love to travel to warm destinations in the winter months to escape Wisconsin’s cold weather. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Tracy trying new restaurants, exploring Wisconsin’s lakes and trails, and hanging out with her dog. She is energized by the positive impact that Nutrition Matters’ education has on the next generation of fruit and veggie lovers.

Stefanie Shaurette
Art Director/ONE Project Manager
You’ll often find Stefanie behind a camera, whether she’s taking photographs for the next Nutrition Matters educational item or documenting her growing family’s milestones. She and her husband David have 3 growing boys. She has an amazing eye for detail and design, and it shows in the work that she does. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her at home reading to her boys. Stefanie is driven by a desire to change the lives of children with the colorful and original education she creates.

Joe has a passion for helping people through design. He has done design work for numerous non-profits locally and around the country—both as an in-house designer and part of a consulting team. Joe is also an uncle to two little nephews who inspire him to make accessible and meaningful nutrition education that suits parents’ on-the-go lifestyle. When Joe is not online, he enjoys trying new foods and drinks, taking photos with his disposable camera and traveling to new places.

David Shaurette
General Manager
David loves to cook, and especially enjoys trying new recipes. He and his wife Stefanie have 3 active boys who keep them very busy. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find David doing woodworking projects, working on vintage motorcycles in the garage or coaching his sons’ soccer teams. David loves being part of a team that impacts so many families through education.
