Encourage families of older children and adults to move to skim or 1% milk for all the nutrition that a family needs without the extra fat and calories. This card promotes making the switch to lower fat dairy foods.
It also encourages drinking milk or eating yogurt at mealtimes. Foods which are good sources of calcium are promoted including fat-free or low fat milk, yogurt, cottage cheese and calcium fortified soymilk (soy beverages).
