As a first-time Mom, I was motivated to educate myself on breastfeeding from my early days of pregnancy. I can truly say that from all the breastfeeding resources I had received during my prenatal care, nothing helped me prepare more than taking home the Nutrition Matters Breastfeeding Book. This is a beautiful, comprehensive resource.
My daughter is now 3 months old, and this book is still out on the coffee table for frequent reference for both my husband and I as we continue our breastfeeding journey. Some of my favorite information is the breastmilk storage guidelines, breastfeeding positions, and getting a good latch.
I am extremely lucky and grateful this resource was available to me through my work here at Nutrition Matters because I knew it was information I could 100% trust written by our RDNs and CLEs. There are a lot of recommendations and information online about breastfeeding that is overwhelming and can be hard to navigate, especially knowing if it's from a trusted source. As a new Mom, I had a lot of questions, and this book became my one-stop place for trusted information, and for that, I'm so grateful.
I can only hope that new parents and caregivers will enjoy this informative, easy-to-read, and visual resource as much as I have. As much as I hope that educators will also love providing it for their families. It's beautifully done, and I plan to share it with my friends and family when they start their breastfeeding journey.
